They are a great resource\n12-17 years can take the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and obtain a Minors P.A.L. License. This license allows the licensee to be in the possession of a non-restricted firearm (for designated purpose(s))\, ammunition\, and to purchase ammunition (can not purchase firearms).  Minor License converts to a regular P.A.L. upon renewal on\, or before\, their 18th birthday.
